Nazeem Hussain is one of Australia's biggest comedy stars. I first saw him in Legally Brown, which if you haven't seen it, is one of the best and most provocative sketch shows to ever come out of Australia. He has a Netflix special and a role in the Netflix show Bill Nye Saves The World. He's performed at Montreal Just For Laughs, supported Dave Chapelle in New York and his podcast Burn Your Passport won the 2016 itunes Best Comedy Podcast Award. He's a panelist on Channel 10s Hughesy We Have A Problem and has appeared on The Project, Q and A and I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

Sarah Garnham is a prominent left wing activist. She is a staunch socialist and member of Socialist Alternative. She was previously the head of the National Students Union. She writes regularly for Red Flag magazine and has given multiple talks at Marxism Festival in Melbourne and Sydney. She is one of the most passionate, devoted, inspiring and intelligent people I’ve ever met and she also happens to be my sister. This is a big chat between siblings about politics. Highly recommend listening if you are someone who is interested in society and the current problems we’re facing, for example, equality, racism and climate change.

Kirsty Webeck is a brilliant comedian and great friend of mine. We met up before a gig we did together and recorded this before performing and it was so much fun. We chat about comedy and have an interesting discussion about pre conceived notions of what it takes to be a comedian. Such a great, interesting chat.

Episode 14 - Patrick Livesey (Playwright, actor; The Boy George, Gone Girls, Kwanda)
Wednesday Nov 25, 2020
Wednesday Nov 25, 2020
This is one of my favourite episodes of the podcast so far! Patrick Livesey is an amazing actor and writer. He’s written two phenomenal theatre shows that we dissect in this episode. His debut show The Boy George is set in the future in 14 year old Prince George’s bedroom as he comes to terms with the crumbling of the monarchy and his place in the world and the monarchy’s role. His second show Gone Girls was similarly a make believe scenario whereby Julia Gillard and Julie Bishop form an alliance to destroy the patriarchy from within. Pat is a beautiful story teller. Hearing him speak about politics and his own life is mesmerising.
You can see Pat's show Gone Girls in Melbourne next year! Definitely recommend checking it out.
